Ahead of Mother’s Day this weekend, Apple has shared an emotional new video of a mom getting to relive her baby’s first year thanks to Vision Pro and spatial video captured on iPhone.
iPhone’s spatial video feature used to create Mother’s Day gift
Apple’s new video, “A Gift for Mom,” tells the story of a mother and father to a 1-year-old son.
Khulan and Sam spent the first year of their son’s life filming him in spatial video using iPhone.
Then, as a Mother’s Day surprise, Sam edited the videos into a film which Khulan was able to experience on Vision Pro.
Apple’s video tells their story, and provides a glimpse into what that experience was like for Khulan.
Spatial video is the kind of iPhone feature I don’t think about often, but it’s touching to see how it can be used to help preserve important memories like a child’s first year of life.
